Soundtracking the Future: How Alexander Rosskopf Blends Cinematic Music with Metal

When you think of a composer, your mind might jump to classical music or film scores. But Alexander Rosskopf isn’t here to fit into boxes. As a cinematic composer and producer, he builds entire worlds through sound—whether that’s an epic orchestral piece or a track infused with metal and hip-hop energy. And if that wasn’t enough, he also plays drums for the metal band Faeded Reality.

His journey began with piano lessons, a foundation that now plays a crucial role in his composition and production. “I like to experiment with different genres and don’t like to stick to one particular one,” he explains. “However, the cinematic sound is always at the core of my music—it serves as the common thread that ties my pieces together.”

From Sleep Token to Skrillex: Finding Inspiration Everywhere

Musical influences shape every artist, and for Rosskopf, inspiration comes from a vast landscape. A dedicated metalhead, he also draws from film scores, electronic music, and hip-hop. “Artists like Skrillex and Apashe have had a big impact on me,” he shares. But if there’s one band that truly resonates with his artistic vision, it’s Sleep Token.

“I find it brilliant how they don’t limit themselves to a single genre but instead merge different styles to create something entirely new. That kind of creative freedom is truly inspiring.” That same approach fuels Rosskopf’s own music—a refusal to conform and a drive to explore.

Collaboration and the Dream of Live Performance

For Rosskopf, music is not just a solo endeavor. His first major collaboration was with YETIBEAR on the track Core, an experience he describes as eye-opening. “He’s an incredibly talented musician with a fantastic voice. Working on that track together was great, and I hope we’ll release more music in the future.” And there’s more on the horizon —he’s already working on new collaborations with various artists, expanding his musical reach.

But one dream still lingers: performing his cinematic compositions live. “One of my biggest dreams is to perform my own music live someday—with an orchestra, a band, and everything that comes with it,” he says. While that vision might seem distant now, he’s keeping the door open for the future. Until then, the energy of performing with Faeded Reality keeps his passion alive.

Building Worlds Through Sound

Rosskopf’s journey into composing started with a simple question: Why not turn these improvisations into full songs? Discovering DAWs opened up a universe of possibilities. “Suddenly, I had an entire orchestra at my fingertips without needing to rely on other musicians, which is often a major cost factor, especially in the beginning.”

Over time, he’s been pushing his sound further, blending more cross-genre elements into his compositions. “I admit that my released tracks so far may not be heavily cross-genre yet, but the upcoming songs will definitely take things in that direction.” His production style thrives on darker chords, atmospheric guitars, and unexpected musical twists— whether it’s a commissioned project or a personal track.

A Message to Listeners

For those following his journey, Rosskopf’s message is simple: Thank you. “I truly appreciate every single person who connects with my music! Stay tuned—there are many exciting projects in the works, and I hope to release new tracks soon.”

With a relentless drive to innovate and a passion that transcends genres, Alexander Rosskopf is an artist to watch. Whether he’s composing sweeping cinematic scores or pushing the boundaries of metal and electronic music, one thing is certain—his sound is only going to get bigger.
