"Get on the Floor" EP by Rod Carrillo & Ron Carroll

Rod Carrillo and Ron Carroll’s Get on the Floor opens with an undeniably upbeat energy—joyful and engaging from the outset.

Rod Carrillo and Ron Carroll return with  Get on the Floor , a house-driven release that brings together classic energy and contemporary reworkings. Anchored by a vibrant original track and followed by five distinctive remixes, the EP is a showcase of collaborative reinterpretation, where each contributor brings their own sensibility to a solid club foundation. The result is a cohesive yet varied package, ready to echo across beach parties, late-night dancefloors, and festival stages alike.

The original mix sets the tone with a buoyant groove and a feel-good rhythm that leans into the upbeat, vocal-driven tradition of house music. Built around tight drum programming, melodic clarity, and an unshakable optimism, the track functions as both a standalone anthem and a springboard for the remixes that follow. Its structure is intentionally open, offering room for the reinterpretations to explore new textures and energies while staying grounded in the spirit of the source material.

Steeped in groove, with a feel-good sensibility that immediately sets the tone for the EP, Get on The Floor’s rhythmic structure and melodic clarity provide a solid foundation, cleverly setting the stage for five distinctive remixes that each take the track in a new direction while maintaining the spirit of the original.

Espinosa’s reinterpretation adds a subtle grit with midtone keyboards that gently blur the track’s horizon lines. The remix honours the groove of the original while introducing a slightly rougher texture, creating a fusion of house warmth and percussive bite that’s both tasteful and club-friendly.

Kebab & Cream Full On Mix  version shifts the narrative by weaving in a techno-infused undercurrent, Kebab & Cream build a high-octane version that contrasts driving percussion with moments of controlled descent. A deep dive into the bassline midway through offers a necessary breath before ascending into a well-paced, groove-laden climax. It’s a remix with its own sonic personality, yet still tethered to the EP’s core.

Daysuke Miyamoto Club Mix  brings a delicate sensibility to the table, softening the original's edges with a more digitised and atmospheric background. The remix leans into subtler textures without losing momentum, resulting in a version that feels contemplative and spacious—a lighter touch that will appeal to late-night selectors.

Knox Club Mix is  bubbly and sophisticated, Knox infuses the track with a jazzy flair that bubbles over like champagne. The mix stands out for its expertly crafted bassline—fat, round and impeccably controlled. It’s a groove-driven rework that balances playfulness with polish, underscoring Knox’s production finesse.
