This journey of musical discovery led me to assemble my own band, and together we embarked on an exploratory voyage, experimenting with a wide array of musical genres.
Cultural Infusion: An Authentic Blend of Styles
The cultural tapestry of my homeland profoundly influences my music, infusing it with Eastern nuances and a touch of country charm, elegantly intertwined with a hint of hip-hop vibe.
A Spontaneous Creative Process: Letting the Music Unfold
When it comes to creating new music, I embrace spontaneity over rigid routines. My inspiration springs from a multitude of sources, from the environment around me to the palpable energy in the air. By immersing myself in the present moment and allowing the music to flow naturally, I capture the essence of creativity.
A Pivotal Moment: "Street Life" as a Game Changer
A transformative moment in my career emerged with the discovery of "Street Life," a masterpiece by Crusaders and originally sung by the illustrious Randy Crawford. This song's fusion of jazz, funk, soul, disco, and pop opened my eyes to the endless horizons of musical possibilities. Its compelling blend of genres served as a guiding light, inspiring me to explore and expand my own musical boundaries.
Conquering Challenges: A Fighter's Spirit
While the music industry is not devoid of challenges, my unyielding determination has helped me navigate these obstacles. Drawing from my past as a young fighter, I approach each challenge with resilience and an unbreakable will. Embracing a continuous wellspring of inspiration and a genuine passion for performance, I remain undaunted by hurdles, fully embracing the journey.
A Glimpse of the Future: New Releases on the Horizon
In the upcoming weeks, the music scene will be graced with a new dance track, "Rise up Now," a collaboration with DJ-producer colleagues, Stereolink. This vibrant release will echo the uplifting spirit of my hit single "Rumours Digi-Digi." Following closely, my new album "Waka Waka" will emerge, showcasing a harmonious fusion of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Reggae elements.
Among the album's standout moments, listeners can savor Afro-funk renditions of timeless tracks like "Wild World" originally by Cat Stevens and "Don’t Look Any Further." Notably, the album won't include the house version of "Going Back to My Roots," which had previously graced the Subliminal label release. Instead, the album will treat you to a captivatingly cool and groovy relaxed afro-funk adaptation of this track, evoking a fresh vibe that resonates throughout the musical journey.
As I embark on this dynamic musical venture, I invite you to join me, stay attuned, and be part of a musical narrative that blends cultures, genres, and emotions. Stay healthy, spread kindness, and let the rhythms of life's melodies guide you.
